At DSH2, heart and lung care is led by a multidisciplinary team of experienced cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and respiratory physicians who work in close collaboration to manage complex cases with precision and care.

DSH2 is a proud member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. As the first and only hospital in Malaysia to join this global affiliation, the partnership provides access to world-renowned expertise and supports ongoing improvements in patient outcomes.

DSH2 became the first KPJ hospital in the central region to offer advanced pleural procedures. These involve minimally invasive techniques to examine and treat the chest lining, along with catheter-based approaches to manage complex lung fluid conditions. The hospital also introduced the Group’s first comprehensive full lung function test, setting a benchmark in respiratory diagnostics.

In recognition of its clinical achievements in heart care, the hospital was recently honoured at the GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific Awards 2025 with two accolades, namely Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery of the Year and Cardiology Service Provider of the Year. DSH2 has also demonstrated leadership in this field by completing 128 Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeries as of June 2025, reflecting both the volume and quality of its advanced heart care.
